3 yrs old
no young children as she needs a quiet home
Female (not spayed)
This lovely lady is a medium sized Labrador cross, and she is 3 years old.
We took a call from some local vets asking if could help find her a home after she had been signed over to them following a stay at the vets. She had eaten some toxins, but is ok now.
She is a little nervous initially, especially around men, but is happy around women, no nastiness whatsoever, but just a little scared. She went initially to a foster home with an older dog as we thought that would make her more comfortable. The dogs got along ok, but this little girl didn’t want to share the attention she has clearly missed out on, and was jealous if the other dog was having a fuss. She is however happy to meet other dogs outside of the home. She is just a very sweet, affectionate girl who just wants someone to call her own.
She doesn’t appear to have had much training but is very keen to learn. The fosterer felt that she has been kept outside as being in the home seemed very new to her. She will need some reminders on toilet training. Since being in kennels she has come on leaps and bounds and really will make someone a lovely companion.
She is looking for a quiet home, no young children and no other pets and preferably someone around during the day. She will take a little time to come round to her new surroundings, but she is definitely worth it! She walks quite nicely on the lead, probably because she is a little wary, she possibly has the potential to be strong if she was scared. She travels well in the car.
She has previously had a litter of puppies and is not spayed, when she is ready to be spayed the charity will cover the cost.
