Yes, but not small children
Red was a working dog who have given good service as retriever.
His current owner has owned him from a puppy and trained and worked him. Red is used to being outdoors and both very able swimmers.
Red is a dark yellow/fox red, entire male dog who is 13 years old. He is fit and in very good shape for his age and very active.
Until recently he has been used in the shooting field and are used to a disciplined lifestyle. He will thrive in a home where they are given some tasks to do to keep his minds active and focussed.
He is used to being told what to do; a new home would need to provide direction to keep him happy and, despite his age, out of mischief!
He has been kennelled although used to coming indoors at times. Because he has been used to an outdoor life has a thick coat.
Red is used to children and are very friendly, though they would not be really suitable in a home with small children who may be pushed over.
Since they have been kennelled they may take some time to settle into a ’pet’ routine. New owners must be prepared for this and be both flexible and tolerant.
As Red is entire he will need a new owner to be mindful of his macho ways!
It would be nice if we could find a rural/semi-rural home with space to take On Red he was kennelled with another dog
Preference will be given to homes in Kent area.
