    This beautiful 9-month-old chocolate Labrador is looking for a very special home where she can continue to grow and thrive. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has lived with both adults and young children. However, due to her size, strength and exuberant nature, we are looking for a home with children aged 17 years and over.

    Sadly, this is her second home, so it is important that her next home is one that can offer the time, commitment and consistency she needs.

    She is a loving, affectionate young Labrador who enjoys being around people and loves attention. Like many young Labradors, she is full of energy, but she is particularly boisterous and will need an experienced owner who understands the breed and is prepared to invest time into her ongoing training.

    She has a habit of jumping up when she’s excited and can become over-stimulated, often jumping over furniture and trying to catch anything that moves, including shadows. These behaviours will require patient, positive and consistent training to help her learn appropriate boundaries.

    She is currently walked using a Halti, but when she sees another dog she can become very excited and will try to back out of it. She is an extremely strong girl on the lead and will need an experienced handler who is confident managing a powerful young Labrador while continuing her lead training.

    We are looking for a home with someone who is around for most of the day and who can provide the structure, routine and training she needs. Ideally, she would be the only dog in the home so she can have her owner’s full attention. However, we would consider a home with a calm, older dog that would tolerate her playful and sometimes over-the-top behaviour.

    In the right hands, with plenty of guidance, exercise and consistent training, she has all the potential to become a wonderful companion. She simply needs someone who understands that she is still a young dog, is willing to put the work in and can help her become the well-mannered Labrador we know she is capable of being.
