    Profile

This handsome six-month-old silver Labrador is looking for a loving forever home where he can continue to grow into the wonderful dog he’s already becoming.

Since he’s a puppy, he’s too young to be neutered.  However, once he’s fully mature the charity will require him to be neutered ( we do assist with the cost)

Sadly, due to a change in family circumstances, his owners have made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome him. This has not been an easy choice, and it’s clear he is a much-loved and cherished member of the family. Their only priority is finding him the right home where he will continue to receive the love, time and attention he deserves.

He is a truly gentle, affectionate and easy-going puppy with the sweetest temperament. During our assessment, he was calm, quiet and simply wanted to be close to people, happily settling down for cuddles. Unlike many puppies of his age, he wasn’t over-boisterous or demanding and was content just being part of whatever was going on around him.

He has lived with a one-year-old child and has shown remarkable patience and gentleness. He also shares his home with two cats and lives alongside them without any issues, making him a fantastic all-round family dog.

As you would expect from a young Labrador, he enjoys playing with other dogs and loves making new friends. He walks well overall but can become a little enthusiastic on the lead when he spots another dog and is keen to say hello. With continued training and consistency, this is something we believe he will quickly grow out of.

He already knows a number of basic commands, including sit, down, stay, wait and leave, and he has excellent recall for such a young dog. He’s a bright, intelligent boy who is eager to please and enjoys learning.

Like any puppy, his toilet training isn’t quite perfect yet and will need a little more consistency in his new home. He also has the occasional Labrador puppy chew, but he’s not destructive and has settled well into family life.

He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and his vaccinations are up to date, with his next booster due in April 2027. He has not yet been castrated.

This lovely boy thrives on companionship and loves being close to his people. He’s currently allowed on the sofa and likes to sleep beside the bed, happiest when he’s included in family life. He isn’t the sort of dog who wants to be left alone for long periods; he simply enjoys being where his family are.

We feel he would suit a loving family, couple or individual who has the time to continue his training and include him as part of everyday life. He could happily live as an only dog receiving lots of attention, or with another friendly dog who enjoys having a young playmate.

This really is a special Labrador. He has a wonderfully calm nature, a loving personality and all the makings of an exceptional family companion. Whoever is lucky enough to offer him his forever home will gain a loyal, affectionate friend who will repay that love every single day.

If you feel you could offer this lovely young Labrador the forever home he deserves, we’d love to hear from you.
