2440 – Nearly 7 year old Yellow male

Very sadly, this beautiful almost 7-year-old neutered male is looking for a loving new home through no fault of his own.

He currently enjoys three walks per day,  He has good recall, is friendly and sociable with both dogs and people, and absolutely loves his exercise. He is mostly walked off lead in a semi-rural environment.

He is a lovely, friendly boy who has lived with teenagers and is well trained. He enjoys companionship and would ideally be rehomed with another friendly dog, as he has previously lived alongside other animals, including a cat, duck and rabbit.

He can experience separation anxiety and is happiest when he has company. He does not like being shut behind a closed door and may scratch or chew at doors when distressed. He was initially introduced to a crate but became very upset, so a crate is not suitable for him.

At night, he sleeps happily in the kitchen behind an extra-tall dog gate, having discovered that he can jump over a standard-height one!

His vaccinations are fully up to date.

The Home He Needs

This lovely boy deserves a family who will give him the time, companionship and exercise he needs. His ideal home would preferably:

• Have another friendly dog for companionship.
• Be able to provide plenty of daily exercise and enrichment.
• Understand and be patient with his separation anxiety.
• Have someone around during the day
• Have older children/teenagers if children are present.
• Provide a secure environment with appropriate-height gates

In return, he has so much to offer. He is a friendly, affectionate and well-trained boy who loves his walks, enjoys the company of other dogs and people, and has all the potential to become a wonderfully loyal companion.

We are looking for a special home that will give him the stability, love and companionship he deserves.
