    Profile

This 2-year-old yellow boy is looking for his forever home.   We understand he is a Lab/retriever cross.  Due to change of circumstances, he has now found himself in kennels awaiting a loving family to take him on.   He does know the basic commands but would benefit from further training.  He has led a restricted life, and we would prefer that he was an only dog and lived in a home with either no children, or teenage children because although he is a loving, fun dog he can be unpredictable, and tends not to have an “off switch” when playing.  He will need to learn to calm after playing.  Any teenagers will need to be aware and part of the ‘home team’ getting him on track to being a really good boy.   It will take time and patience.

He can be resource guarding with food and toys, but this can be overcome, and we would help with advice on this.

We are looking for an experienced home that will be able to take a long-term view and use their skill and doggy experience to help him overcome his issues.  Don’t expect too much too soon, and he will be a very faithful dog given the time to allow him to get to know you.

He has not been castrated, but the charity will contribute to the cost of this once he has settled in his new home.

He can be visited in the kennels, which are in Lincolnshire.
