A Beautiful Goldador Looking for Her Forever Home

This beautiful girl is a 2-year-old spayed Goldador, a lovely cross between a Golden Retriever and Labrador. She is microchipped and is a loving, affectionate and intelligent girl who has so much to offer the right family.

She is very ball-focused, loves being kept busy and has excellent recall, which is a real joy. She is bright and eager to engage with her people, so a home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise, enrichment and attention would suit her perfectly.

She does, however, need an understanding and patient new owner. Following a visit to the vets last year, she has unfortunately become very anxious about veterinary visits and now needs to be muzzled when attending the vets. When extremely frightened or anxious in this situation, she can growl and may snap as a defensive response. This is important for any potential new owner to understand. She will need someone who is extremely patient and willing to give her time, space and reassurance rather than putting her under pressure.

She can also be anxious when meeting new people, so her new family will need to allow her to approach people and new situations at her own pace. We feel she would benefit enormously from a calm home with someone who has experience of anxious or nervous dogs and understands how to build confidence through patience, consistency and positive experiences.

She does have some resource-guarding around particular treats and can also be territorial within the home, sometimes barking when people approach or enter. These are behaviours her new family will need to understand and manage appropriately.

We feel she would probably be happiest as the only dog in the household, where she can have her family’s full attention and continue to build her confidence. We are looking for a home with children aged 17 years and over, plenty of space and people who enjoy an active lifestyle and will keep her both physically and mentally stimulated.

Despite her anxieties, she really is a beautiful, loving girl with a lovely personality. She is affectionate with those she trusts and has so many wonderful qualities. Her love of playing ball, fantastic recall and intelligence are just some of the things that make her special.

We are looking for someone who will see the lovely dog underneath her anxieties, understand the areas where she needs support and, most importantly, give her the time and patience she deserves.

With the right home, experienced owners and a calm, consistent approach, we hope she can continue to build her confidence and become the happy, secure companion we know she can be. πŸΎπŸ’›
