This young lady is looking for an experienced home who has had previous experience in dealing with reactive dogs. The first three years of her life were sheltered, living in a flat with a large family and receiving very few walks. She has had little experience in socialising with other dogs and strangers. On a walk she will react to people and dogs by barking if she feels they are too close. She does pull on the lead but is manageable but this habit will obviously need addressing. Once she gets to know you, she is a sweet girl. Although she looks like a full Labrador, the current owner was advised that she is a cross with a collie. Ideally, we would be looking for a home where someone is around most of the day and has the the time, patience and understanding this girl needs to introduce her safely to people and other dogs.
She is currently un-spayed and her new owners would have to agree to get this done after her next season. The Charity are happy to make a contribution towards the cost.
If there are children in the new household, we would prefer that they are over 12 years of age. This girl could not live a cat or another dog.
Could you be what this girl needs??
