Profile
This very pretty young girl is from working lines.
She was noted to have an unusual gait as a young puppy, so her breeders have had several investigations carried out. No structural problems have been discovered.
She is a very active youngster. When she walks slowly, no issues can be seen, but she resorts to bunny hopping if she wants to pick up speed. It is not yet known whether she will grow out of this odd gait.
She has not met children or cats and still lives with her litter sibling in a kennel environment at her breeder’s home. She is kennel clean, but has not lived full time in a house.
She is really quite wary of strangers at first, but settles to being a normally wriggly and loving dog quite quickly.
We feel that she should not be placed with young children, as their jumping about might increase her gait problems. She has had very good, early training, so she now walks very well on a slip lead and responds to a whistle.
She has not yet had her first season, so she is not spayed. Apart from the gait issue, she is very fit and well. At the moment, she is not given ant medication or supplements, but the charity will help with any future needs relating to her gait problems.
As she is under the care of a specialist vet in the North Suffolk/East Cambs area, we are looking for child-free adopters within that area.
