This young lad is looking for an experienced home where someone is around most of the day. He is boisterous and strong on the lead and needs someone who has the time to commit to ongoing training. He has not been let off the lead so will need to learn recall from scratch. He will chew if left, so his new home will have to build on leaving him for very short absences initially. He jumps up at visitors and can get over excited so these traits will also need to be addressed. He hasn’t travelled in a car very often so, again, very short trips initially. He is good with other dogs but as he hasn’t been let off the lead to play, we can’t say if he might be overly boisterous in play. His new home must be prepared to have him castrated as soon as he has settled in his new home and the Charity will make a contribution to the cost of this. He has lived with a child and if there are children in the new home, we would prefer that they are teenagers.
He is much loved in his present home but having another dog who is blind is proving a difficult situation to manage due to his over exuberance.
If you feel that this is the dog for you and you have the time and experience to commit to ongoing training please register your interest if you live in the areas in which a home is sought.
