Male Labrador This is Ben, he is approx 8/9 years old and was found as a stray. He will be vaccinated and microchipped. He is good with other dogs, unknown what he is like with cats. Wonderful 'gentle' older man who has lovely manners, typical happy lab . He would love nothing more than to snooze away the days in front of the fire after a lovely amble around the fields and woods. Don't be put off by him being older he has plenty of get up and go in him . Female Labrador Adorable 4 month old chocolate bitch. She will be vaccinated and microchipped. She is good with other dogs but it is unknown what she is like with cats. Unfortunately this little lady was found straying and taking to the pound where we gave her a rescue space. She will need to go to training classes as she is a real baby who needs to learn the basics. The type of home we are looking for is a home with someone around during the day and also children of 12 years and over. Male Labrador Toby is a 1 year old male Labrador cross, he has lived with children and is very friendly although a bit bewildered by his current situation in kennels. We are looking for a quiet home where his training can be continued. He comes fully vaccinated and microchipped. Male Labrador Bob is a 4 year old male castrated dog who has come into rescue resently as his owner died. He has so far only ever lived outside and was happy to look after his master's interests at his yard. We, therefore, feel he would be happier being an outside dog with lots of free running. Male Labrador 1 year old black dog. Is microchipped. Has not lived with children so therefore we would be looking for a home with children of 12 years and over. Good with other dogs, however would not be suitable with a home with cats. He is very obedient and knows the majority of commands. Unfortunately this young chap has recently been diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. His weight will need to be kept under control and his excercise will need to be restricted. All medication and treatment relating to this condition will be covered for by the charity. Female Labrador 8 year old yellow bitch. She is very lovable and obedient. She adores human company but unfortunately does not like other dogs. She is fit and lively and is very well behaved in the home. The type of home we are looking for is where she would be the only dog and would suit a home looking for a loyal companion. She has not lived with children but has had regular access to a 3 year old. Female Labrador Faith is a gentle, loving, 12 year old lady. Unfortunately, she came into our care as her elderly owner could no longer give her the care and attention she deserved. She is spayed, fit, well and loves her walks, being very active for her years. Faith has not lived with children, but absolutely adores her fosterer's grandchildren and all the attention she is given by them. This beautiful Lab is no trouble whatsoever, she settled very quickly and fitted into a new home/routine as if she had always been there. Female Labrador This is Middy (short for Midnight). She is a 1 year old black bitch of small build. She is good with other dogs however has not lived with cats, I personally think she would not be suitable in a cat environment. She is very playful and wants constant attention. She will require extensive training as she is very boisterous and does not respond to any commands She will need to be rehomed to an experienced home who has knowledge of the breed. She has lived with children of 6 and 14 years old, however she would definately be suited to a home with older children. She is extremely lovable and very loyal and would make a lovely pet. Female Labrador Lady is a small to medium labrador cross. She came into rescue as a stray. She loves people and likes nothing more than her tummy tickled and to lay in front of a warm fire, she can be a bit "choosy" over which dogs she wants to make friends with so it would be best for her to be re-homed as an only dog. She is between 4-6, she is vaccinated and microchipped. She is untested with cats and children. Male Labrador This is Tigger, he is a 2 year old yellow castrated dog, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He is a lovely friendly lad but is very strong. He is OK with dogs but can sometimes pick who he doesn't like, so we are looking for a home where he would be the only dog in the household. He will also need a little training. Male Labrador Simba is a 10 year old yellow castrated boy, and is currently in temporary foster in the Colchester area. He is a big cuddly 'teddy bear' of a dog, lovely around the house, very affectionate to all people and children and a great companion. Simba is recovering well from a skin allergy brought on by the stressfull situation he was in before coming into rescue, and should not be left by himself too long at the moment in case he starts nibbling himself again.He is quite protective and dominant towards other dogs, and when out on a lead needs a pretty strong arm to hold him, ifyou feel you could offer him the right sort of home please ring David on 01621 891860
Male Labrador Biggs is a 4yr old male lab. He is a confident and boistorous dog. He has never shown any form of aggression to other animals or humans and will happily allow you to take food or toys from him. Biggs is very friendly with strangers and other dogs-he enjoys being petted but is a licker.
He likes a lot of fuss and plenty of excercise
He is trained in basic commands and is house trained.
Biggs is good around children but may not be suitable for very young children as he will try to lick little faces that are at his level.
He is unsuitable for anyone who is not fit and active as he needs a lot of excercise.
He has no known health problems and is fit.
He is castrated.
